Fish and Chips : Tilapia Fillet


  • Salt
  • Garlic powder
  • White pepper
  • All-purpose flour
  • Potato starch
  • 1pc Lemon
  • 2pcs Carrots
  • 1pc Big-sized potato
  • 4pcs Medium-sized Sweet kamote
  • Fishta Tilapia fillet


  1. Prepare and Slice the potatoes, carrots, and sweet potato 1/2 inch thick. Then boil them for 10 to 15mins until half-cooked 
  2. While waiting for your veggies, season your FISHTA TILAPIA FILLET
  3. After boiling, season your veggies too with salt before deep-frying
  4. Toss your FISHTA TILAPIA FILLET in potato starch and shake off any excess
  5. Deep fry your veggies between 350 and 375 °F
  6. Using a whisk continuously, add the beer and all-purpose flour mixture and continue mixing until you have a thick, smooth batter. Place the batter in the fridge to rest for 30 minutes to 1 hour
  7. Check the oil temperature 350 F. Carefully lower each fillet into the hot oil. Fry for approximately 8 minutes, or until the batter is crisp and golden, turning the fillets from time to time
  8. Cut your Lemon and serve it with Garlic mayo
